Frequently Asked Questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All merging happens entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device.
How many PDF files can I merge at once?
There is no hard limit. For the best performance we recommend no more than 20 files per batch.
Can I change the order of the PDFs before merging?
Yes. Drag the items in the list to set the exact order you want before clicking Merge.
What happens if a PDF is encrypted or password-protected?
Encrypted and password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. A warning is shown for the affected file. Remove it from the list and try again.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no hard limit, but very large PDFs may be slow due to browser memory constraints. Files under 100 MB each are recommended.
Does the merged PDF preserve all content?
Pages are copied in file order. Check the merged PDF if your files contain forms, bookmarks, or attachments.
